59, passed away peacefully, on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, with his loving wife and daughter at his side. He was born on September 12, 1964, to David and Janice (Roehl) Remmel in Appleton. Rodney graduated from Appleton West High School in 1982. He married Kathy Schroeder on Oct. 20, 1990.
Rodney enjoyed fishing in his earlier years, sitting on his swing in the front yard and going out for Friday night fish fries. He and Kathy also enjoyed casino trips, playing cribbage and going on vacations.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; a daughter, Hayley (Tyler Meyer) Remmel of Reedsville; his mother, Janice Remmel of Appleton; his brother, Peter Remmel of Appleton, two sisters-in-law: Cheryl (Todd) Wilson and Bonnie Carew, aunt and uncle, Shirley (Paul) Bolstad and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rodney was preceded in death by his father, David, brother, Jeff, in-laws, Roy (Jeanett) Schroeder, three brothers-in-law: Keith Schroeder, Bruce Carew, and Smokey Beyer; two sisters-in-law, Carla Beyer and Trudy Heenan.
A Visitation for Rodney will take place from 4 – 7 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel.
