We’ve lost a kind, generous man, a man with a full heart. Tracy McCrory, 67, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024 at the home of his fiancée, Carrie Petersen. He was sick for only two months, gone too soon and too quickly.

He is survived by his loving brother, Jeff McCrory and Tracy’s very special partner, Carrie Petersen. Meeting Carrie just a few years ago, Tracy quickly fell in love and was brought into the relationship of her grandson, Andrew Jones. Tracy and Andrew formed a mutual endearment. Their collective future plans were hurriedly put aside to care for Tracy.

Tracy came into this world on July 26, 1956 and was born in Appleton WI, his home for his entire life. He was an accomplished golfer, even as a teenager. For decades golf was his first love and vocation. He cherished all the rounds with his brother, Jeff, and his father, Bob McCrory. And of course, all the fun times with his friends at Reid Municipal Golf Course. A back injury a few years ago ended Tracy’s golfing. This was extremely hard on him, but he never complained. The memories last forever.

Tracy loved county fairs, music concerts, art shows and parades. He loved to eat, “knew all the best places” and many of them got to know him. Carrie would accompany him on every excursion. Tracy’s Aunt Alice adopted Tracy into her heart. He fit right in. Tracy enjoyed his many cousins. He looked forward to the wonderful meals the holiday and birthday celebrations. He loved their company and they loved him.

His brother Jeff, wife Sara, and their son, Julien will miss him dearly. Tracy loved Julien. He finally had a nephew! His passing has left a massive hole their hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob McCrory and Mary (Freund) McCrory.

Tracy was employed at Presto Products for nearly forty years. He made friends that lasted a lifetime.

Carrie and Jeff would like to thank Theda Care Hospice for the kind, thoughtful care that Tracy received. Tracy requested no funeral services. A celebration of his life will be arranged in the near future.
