Jerry Rossi who has Lou Gehrig's disease, had a long-time dream come true when three Milwaukee Bucks players visited him Thursday. Paul Mokeski (second from left) and Mike Dunleavy (right) gathered with Bucks owner Herb Kohl, at Rossi's bedside at St. Mary's Hospital. Kevin Gravey, another player, also visited. The visit was prompted by a Milwaukee Journal article in which Rossi expressed his affection for the Bucks. The Bucks gave Rossi an autographed basketball.

The Milwaukee County Historical Society honors the life of Herb Kohl by illuminating the letters of his name, using the historic City Hall lights, at the Historical Society building on North King Drive in Milwaukee on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023. Kohl, the former U.S. senator, Milwaukee Bucks owner and retail shopping magnate, died Wednesday afternoon at the age of 88 after a brief illness.
