Courage Award nominations now open for Northeast Wisconsin High School Sports Awards
Courage Award nominations are open for the Northeast Wisconsin High School Sports Awards show, which will be back as a live event this spring. More details about the program, including the show's date, time and location, will be announced soon.
The Courage Award recognizes a student-athlete, coach or someone close to a high school athletic program who exhibits extraordinary strength and courage in daily life, on and off the fields of athletic competition.
Anyone can submit a nomination for consideration of the award. To do so, email USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin's Brett Christopherson at bchristopherson@gannett.com. Please include details in your email. The nomination deadline is Feb. 28.
The Courage Award winner will be recognized during the live show this spring.

The Northeast Wisconsin High School Sports Awards show is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.
The show will recognize prep athletes, coaches and teams in the Appleton, Fond du Lac, Green Bay, Manitowoc, Marshfield, Oshkosh, Sheboygan, Stevens Point, Wausau and Wisconsin Rapids markets for their achievements during the 2021-22 school year.
