Grace, a 25-year-old communications associate from Caledonia, Wisconsin, will be vying for the heart of farmer Brandon Rogers on Season 2 of "Farmer Wants a Wife." The season premieres at 8 p.m. CT Feb. 1 on Fox.

Meet Grace Girard. Maybe you've seen her cheering on Wisconsin sports teams, posting up at Wolski's, dining in the Third Ward — oh, or in previews for the upcoming season of "Farmer Wants a Wife."

The dating scene in Girard's home state had just not been hitting. So, when her reality TV-loving aunt encouraged her to apply for the Fox dating show, she decided to give it a go.

Not because she had farming experience or anything like that. But, that should come natural to someone from the Dairy State ... right?

You can find out by tuning into "Farmer Wants a Wife" Season 2, which premieres at 8 p.m. CT Feb. 1.

Until then, here's an introduction to Girard — from her deep love for Wisconsin to how she ended up on the show:

The Wisconsin roots run deep for Grace Girard

"I've always loved Wisconsin," said Girard, 25. "I am like the biggest Wisconsin sports fan."

She grew up going to Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Badgers games.

Girard was raised in Kenosha, graduating from St. Joseph Catholic Academy, aka St. Joe's, in 2016. She went on to study communications at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she graduated in December 2019.

"Growing up, I always knew I wanted to go to Madison," Girard said. "Once I got in there, that was like a dream come true."

It turned out to be "everything" she had hoped for.

Since then, Girard's lived in Milwaukee and Caledonia, and works as a communications associate.

In her free time, Girard enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing tennis and being out and about in Brew City. A couple of her go-tos? Onesto, Camp Bar Third Ward and Wolski's Tavern.

"I've just continued to be the biggest supporter of Wisconsin," she said. "I absolutely love the state. I am super-proud to be from here — I say that all the time, I feel like."

Why Grace Girard wanted to be on 'Farmer Wants a Wife'

While Girard doesn't watch reality TV, her aunt sure does. And, when "Farmer Wants a Wife" made its debut last year, it quickly became one her aunt's favorite shows.

On the show — hosted by Grammy Award-winning country star Jennifer Nettles — four farmers from across the country meet with a crop of hopeful singles, according to Fox. Each farmer invites a handful of the women to come live with him on his respective farm. There, he shows the group "what it is really like on an actual working farm, from tending to the land, harvesting crops and feeding cattle, to the behind-the-scenes business operations." The goal: To find their future spouse.

When Girard's aunt found out the show was looking for "daters," she sent the application to her niece.

"She was like, 'This sounds like something you would love. I feel like a farmer would be great for you,'" Girard said. "So, I just on a whim applied."

Girard "didn't have a lot of success" with dating in southeastern Wisconsin.

When Girard would go out to Milwaukee bars with friends, she said, she didn't often get approached. As someone who "likes to be pursued," that was "a bit of a struggle" for her.

She also tried her hand at dating apps, but said "they just haven't been for me."

"I was hoping to meet someone organically, and when this came across my lap, I figured it would be a really good opportunity," she said.

'I was definitely in disbelief': How Grace Girard ended up on 'Farmer Wants a Wife'

Girard submitted an application to be considered for "Farmer Wants a Wife." In it, she wrote about the dating scene in Wisconsin and raved about her home state.

The show reached out to Girard and asked her to hop on an hourlong video call with a casting recruiter. She kept moving along in the interview process — that is, until she got the call. The one saying she had been cast on the show.

"I was definitely in disbelief," Girard said. "I was just kind of surprised that they picked me. But, at the same time, I was like, I feel like I got this far just based on my personality and being a genuinely good person — a kind person. So, I was excited to let the world see that."

A glimpse into the upcoming season of 'Farmer Wants a Wife'

Filming for "Farmer Wants a Wife" Season 2 started at the end of September and wrapped before Thanksgiving. It was "a little nerve-wracking" at first, Girard said, but also really exciting.

On the show, Girard will attempt to wrangle the heart of farmer Brandon Rogers.

"When I talked to Brandon the first episode, he was like, 'Part of the reason I picked you is 'cause you're from an agricultural-leaning state,'" Girard said. "And, I kind of was like 'Oh wow. I am from the Dairy State. I feel like there's a lot of farms around me. But, I have actually never really been involved in farm life at all."

But, before she was even officially cast, Girard began heavily researching the farming world so she'd be able to talk about it with her farmer. It was a lot to learn, she laughed.

"I was excited to get the opportunity to maybe get some farming under my belt and just learn about the agriculture industry," she said.

Rogers, 29, is a potato and barley farmer who lives in Center, Colorado, on his 1,000-acre farm, according to Fox.

"Brandon is our most remote farmer, living in a small, one-stop-light town surrounded by his farmland," a Fox news release said.

Rogers grew up on the farm, working for his dad. He later returned to work the farm full time "to continue his family's farming legacy."

"His business is set up and doing well, and now the missing piece is that special person to share it with," the release said.

What were Grace Girard's thoughts on the other 'daters'?

Girard said her fellow "daters" were all great, and has remained friends with a lot of them.

"We all bonded over the first couple days of filming," Girard said. "We're all being thrown into this and we don't really know what this looks like on the back end and the behind-the-scenes end. So, it was really fun to kind of experience that with all of these ladies, and get to know them ... I think I found some lifelong friends."

How to watch 'Farmer Wants a Wife' Season 2

Season 2 of "Farmer Wants a Wife" airs at 8 p.m. CT Feb. 1 on Fox.

"It's really just a fresh take on reality dating," Girard said. "It's a very unique concept that they would kind of have these city girls meet this rural lifestyle and the farming lifestyle. So, it really just offers itself up to some genuine connections. And, I think it's going to be a really good season. The second season is just an awesome cast, and people are just going to really enjoy our storylines."
