Election 2024

APPLETON — Fox Cities voters will select a slew of nonpartisan local government leaders and representatives this spring, including the mayors of Appleton, Kaukauna and Menasha.

Appleton Mayor Jake Woodford and Kaukauna Mayor Tony Penterman both are running unopposed. Woodford is seeking his second four-year term in office, and Penterman is seeking his fourth two-year term in office.

The Menasha mayoral race is wide open. Four candidates — Kyle Coenen, Austin Hammond, Rebecca Nichols and Stan Sevenich — will compete for the right to succeed incumbent Don Merkes, who didn't seek reelection after 16 years in office. A Feb. 20 primary election will be held to narrow the field to two.

The Post-Crescent compiled the following list of Fox Cities candidates in the spring election. The list contains a mix of contested and uncontested races. Candidates had until 5 p.m. Tuesday to file their nomination papers to appear on the ballot.
