A Wisconsin woman will be on the upcoming season of Fox dating show 'Farmer Wants a Wife'
Does being from the Dairy State get you extra brownie points on "Farmer Wants a Wife"? We'd like to think so.
And soon, we'll find out.
Wisconsinite Grace will be attempting to wrangle the heart of farmer Brandon Rogers on Season 2 of the Fox reality TV dating show, according to the network. The season premieres at 8 p.m. CT Feb. 1.
On the show — hosted by Grammy Award-winning country star Jennifer Nettles — four farmers from across the country meet with a crop of hopeful singles, according to Fox. Each farmer invites a handful of the women to come live with him on his respective farm. There, he shows the group "what it is really like on an actual working farm, from tending to the land, harvesting crops and feeding cattle, to the behind-the-scenes business operations." The goal: To find their future spouse.
"Dater" Grace is a 25-year-old communications associate from Caledonia, which is in Racine County.
Rogers, 29, is a potato and barley farmer who lives in Center, Colorado, on his 1,000-acre farm, according to Fox.
"Brandon is our most remote farmer, living in a small, one-stop-light town surrounded by his farmland," a Fox news release said.
Rogers grew up on the farm, working for his dad. He later returned to work the farm full time "to continue his family's farming legacy."
"His business is set up and doing well, and now the missing piece is that special person to share it with," the release said.
Season 2's other farmers are:
- Ty Ferrell, 42: A team roper from Missouri with a 50-acre farm with horses and roping cattle.
- Mitchell Kolinsky, 27: A first-generation farmer with a new farm and a charming 1 century cabin in Tennessee.
- Nathan Smothers, 23: A fourth-generation citrus and cattle farmer from Florida with a 300-acre farm, plus over 500 acres of cattle property.
According to Fox, "Farmer Wants a Wife" is "the most successful dating show in the world." It airs in 32 countries and has resulted in more than 200 marriages and over 510 children.
