The Atlanta Hawks (22-28) travel to face the Boston Celtics (38-12) Wednesday. Tip-off from TD Garden is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Let's analyze FanDuel Sportsbook's lines around the Hawks vs. Celticsodds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Celtics lead 1-0 after 113-103 home win Nov. 26

Boston beat Atlanta as a 7.5-point favorite as the Under (235.5) hit in that 1st meeting.

Atlanta was handed a heart-breaking 149-144 loss by the LA Clippers Monday while failing to cover as a 4-point home underdog. Atlanta has now scored north of 140 points in back-to-back games. Monday's loss ended a 4-game win streak for the Hawks.

Boston routed the Memphis Grizzlies 131-91 Sunday while covering as a 19.5-point home favorite. Boston was led by F Jayson Tatum and his 34 points but saw production from nearly everyone as 13 of its 14 players that suited up scored. The Celtics have now won 3 of their last 4 and are 23-3 at home on the season.

Hawks at Celtics picks and predictions

Prediction

Celtics 132, Hawks 120

Moneyline

PASS.

I like Boston (-620) to win here, but the Celtics are not worth backing as such heavy favorites. Bet on the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

LEAN CELTICS -11.5 (-110).

Boston has covered the spread in back-to-back meetings with the Hawks and is 8-2 ATS in its last 10 matchups vs. Atlanta. The Celtics have also been the much better ATS team this season at 24-24-2, while Atlanta is 14-36.

If Holiday is able to play and be a primary defender on G Trae Young, then this bet becomes even more safe.

This is only a lean because the Hawks have been the slightly better ATS team as of late.

Over/Under

BET OVER 244.5 (-110).

The Over has hit in 2 of Boston's last 3 games and is 6-1 in Atlanta's last 7. For Atlanta, the Over is also 29-21 on the season. The Over has also hit in 4 of the last 5 Atlanta-Boston matchups and is 6-4 in the last 10 meetings.

This bet is even more safe right now because of Atlanta's recent scoring streak.
